Who Will Regulate Our Hospitals?
Former Permanent Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Health during the glorious era with Professor Ransome Kuti as Minister of Health, Professor Shima Gyoh is widely recognised for his continued pursuit of better self-regulation by the medical profession; he still practices surgery in Makurdi, teaches medical students and leads the Society for Family Health.

Robert Yates
Will Buhari Be Nigeria's UHC Hero?
Robert Yates‘ principal area of expertise is in the political economy of Universal Health Coverage (UHC), with a focus on advising political leaders and government ministries on how to plan, finance and implement national UHC reforms. Yates is an internationally recognized expert on progressive health financing. He has previously worked with the UK’s Department for International Development (DFID) and the WHO.

Having qualified as a Pharmacist at the University of Lagos, Remi has gone on to attain the highest levels of professional recognition in his field as a Fellow of the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria and the Nigeria Academy of Pharmacy. Remi has in the last 10 Years, been involved in healthcare start-ups; entrepreneurial as well as non-profits. Dr. Ola Soyinka
Let's Not Leave Everything For God
Dr. Ola Soyinka has just finished his term as Commissioner for Health of Ogun State. His medical career has spanned cardiology, general practice, healthcare communication, health promotion and public health. Dr Soyinka played an active role in the pro-democracy movement abroad until the return of civilian rule in Nigeria. He then returned to pursue a career in public health.

"Accountability" - The Missing Link in Nigeria's Health Sector
Former Minister of State for Health and former Executive Secretary of the National Primary Care Development Agency, Dr. Muhammad Pate was recently quoted as saying that while working for the World Bank, he thought that he knew how government worked, until he was asked to serve in one. He resigned as Minister of State for Health to take up teaching at the Duke Global Health Institute, USA.
